Mountain Goat Hunt

The mountains surrounding the Chilkat Valley provide a prime habitat for Mountain Goats. Hunters have taken Goats measuring over 9 inches with some over 10 inches. Generally these hunts begin on foot at sea level and range to 3000 feet. To assure a quality trophy we use spot and stalk methods to evaluate our game. This is often a demanding hunt. Hunters are expected to be reasonably fit. Expect to pack your own personal gear. Hunters may stay overnight in the field at various out cabins. The Mountain Goat season is September 15th thru Nov 15th. The hunt usually lasts 5 days. During the fall season hunters can also elect a combination hunt for Mountain Goat, Brown Bear, and Wolf. Archery and Gun hunters are both welcome.
